For more than 50 years, The Salvation Army Southern Territorial Bible Conference has offered a time of renewal, spiritual development, and fellowship for officers, soldiers, families and friends at Lake Junaluska, North Carolina. The annual gathering took place from August 7-13, 2022 with the theme of “O Church Arise! Strong In Spiritual Battle.”

The week’s festivities concluded with a special gathering for the Retirement and Farewell Service for Commissioners Willis and Barbara Howell, territorial leaders. Commissioners David and Barbara Jeffrey conducted the retirement ceremony, with a response from Commissioners Howell. The evening also featured the Southern Staff Band and Southern Staff Songsters, with a special appearance from Spiritual to the Bone.
