TYI 2016

Territorial Youth Institute 2016

The Territorial Youth Department hosted the annual Territorial Youth Institute at Camp Walter Johnson in Denton, North Carolina, July 31- August 7. The retreat brought together teens, young adults, officers and youth leaders for a week of community building, worship and spiritual development, with events and meetings centered around the theme of storytelling.

Officers, delegates and speakers alike shared deeply personal stories of grace, hardship and their own struggles to find the light. Their honesty and vulnerability fostered a deep sense of community that quickly broke down barriers to connection, making disjointed groups of teens, leaders and young adults into a family.
