New Representative Appointed to NVOAD

Ashley Jones, director of social services for The Salvation Army in Naples, Florida, has been appointed to represent The Salvation Army on the Disaster Casework Management Committee of the National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (NVOAD). Jones was chosen from among all Salvation Army units in the country for the position.

Jones holds a master's of social work, administration and community planning degree from the University of Oklahoma and a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Langston University. She served as assistant divisional director and divisional director of social services for the Arkansas-Oklahoma Division, director of social services for Central Oklahoma Area Command before her current post in Naples.

She coordinates the operation and staff of all social services programs at the Naples Regional Coordinate and Immokalee Service Center, and has served with a variety of faith-based organizations dealing with the issues of poverty, addiction, social justice and public policy. Jones is active on several local community committees and professional organizations.
