Commissioner David Jeffrey Commissioner David Jeffrey was appointed as the Territorial Commander effective August 1, 2011, for The Salvation Army USA Southern territory. Immediately preceding this appointment, Commissioner David Jeffrey served as the National Chief Secretary at USA National Headquarters. He has served in a number of corps and administrative appointments. Before entering the College for Officer Training, he assisted in Fairmont, West Virginia, and was in charge of the Norway, West Virginia Outpost. As cadet-lieutenant, he served as Corps Officer in Front Royal, Virginia, and Grafton, West Virginia. His field appointments following his commissioning included the Baltimore (Hampden), and Hagerstown Corps in Maryland. |

Commissioner Israel L. Gaither Commissioner Gaither, with his wife Commissioner Eva, retired as active Salvation Army Officers, November 1, 2010.Ordained and Commissioned from The Salvation Army’s School for Officer Training in June, 1964 in New York City, he held senior leadership positions at both the USA National Headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia and International Headquarters, London, United Kingdom where he served as the first African-American Chief of the Staff as second-in-command since the founding of the international movement in 1865. He is also the first African-American to serve as the USA National Commander. |

Mr. Jon Sheptock Jon was born with a very unusual affliction. He had no arms and a short right leg. The evening he was born he was turned over to the state because his biological parents did not want him. After giving his life over to Christ at a young age he has traveled and Challenged MEN, AND YOUNG PEOPLE ALIKE with the Scripture promise, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” |
