College-bound students gifted with laptops from Aaron’s
To better equip local rising freshmen for a college experience increasingly reliant on virtual learning, Aaron’s, Inc. delivered critical technology to teens from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Oklahoma County and the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oklahoma, giving new laptop computers to each college-bound student to support them on their academic journeys.
On July 23, 22 dedicated students were decked out in their college colors as they lined up in cars at the club, with representatives from Aaron’s and the Boys & Girls Clubs gifting each of them a new HP laptop and a $100 Visa gift card for software and tech accessories to celebrate their achievements and the future that awaits at schools such as Oklahoma State University, Wichita State University, Southwest Oklahoma State University and more.
Additionally, Aaron’s is contributing $5,000 to each club to support their COVID-19 relief efforts.
This event was made possible by a three-year, $5 million national partnership between Aaron’s and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Keystone Program, helping teens develop their character and leadership skills to reach their potential and create positive change in the community.
