A Wild Start: The First 90 Days of Officership

By: Lt. Kristin Coriston

You can never picture where your adventure with Christ will take you. Whatever your dream is for yourself, God will outdo it every time, if you let Him. That's what I've found myself thinking this last week. I just can't believe that this is all real. I keep thinking with excitement, "I just got married! I just became a pastor! I live in Texas! What is happening?!" The word Robbie and I have been using to sum up how we feel in this first week is grateful. Grateful that God is our Lord and Savior. Grateful He's given us what we don't deserve. Grateful He continues to be faithful. Grateful that friends and family are witnessing God at work in our lives… and on and on and on.

The first week has been overwhelming and wild, for sure. I have so many questions, and I'm still getting used to so many new things. God has given me a true peace, though, and has put people in my life that will walk alongside me and help. So for now, I can say I'm excited, hopeful, and full of the joy of the Lord. Waxahachie is quickly becoming home!
