Women’s Reach Out: Sanders Mission Corps – Louisville, Kentucky

.

The women of the Louisville Sanders Mission corps hosted a Christmas in July party.  The purpose was to remind everyone that as children of God we should celebrateChristmas all year with a spirit of giving.

All of the corps women were asked to make or bring cookies, fudge and punch, as well as small personal items such as shampoo, toothpaste, make-up or perfume.  These gifts were sorted into care packages and then wrapped..

After having a time of devotions, prayer and singing Christmas carols, the gifts and refreshments were taken to the Women’s Shelter where the residents were serenaded with “We wish you a Merry Christmas” and given the gifts.  Words of encouragement and prayer were also shared and an invitation to Sunday services was given.
