Staying Connected
Connecting with listeners is a vital component of the total outreach ministry. Because of the extensive coverage of the programs, we receive letters, emails and phone calls from listeners living throughout the USA and in countries all over the world. On each program, the announcers invite listeners to interact by writing or calling and sharing prayer requests and testimonies of God’s blessing in their lives. Contacts have been received from listeners in most of the territories where The Salvation Army has work and from people living in many other countries where the Army has no established presence. As we read and reply to each one, we are grateful to know that God is using The Salvation Army to proclaim the Gospel of Christ around the globe with these programs.

I have been listening to Wonderful Words of Life on the radio and online for years. Here is my testimony. I was a rock n roll “party animal” for 25 long years. I had been in all kinds of problems and trouble as a result. You name it I did it. I still continued to party. I tried to quit many times but could not. I was alone and had a long time to examine my life. I did some serious soul searching and prayed to God like never before. God delivered me through his son Jesus Christ. I am happily married to a Christian for 13 years now. We have a 7 year old daughter. I wanted to get involved in Christian Ministry and got a diploma from a Bible College. I have worked in a Prison Ministry for 7 years and have been blessed to work for The Salvation Army Men’s Shelter for 4 years now. I give all the credit and glory to God through his son Jesus Christ.

My husband and I take time to listen to Wonderful Words of Life (on GNFM 96.3 in Saint George’s, Granada). Day by day our lives are being challenged and encouraged by your uncompromised teaching of God’s Word. Thank you for making it so clear and understandable. Continue the good works of the Lord. I am a senior citizen and I cannot recall for how long I have been listening to the broadcast, “Wonderful Words of Life.” Every Sunday morning I wake up and listen to the broadcast at 4:45 aired on Radio Jamaica (RJR 94 FM). The music is good and the messages inspiring and heart searching. Please keep it up. Thanks so much to The Salvation Army for work they continue to do in Jamaica, especially with orphaned and abandoned children and the blind. I am always willing to contribute to the kettles when I see the officers out on the streets.
