MARTY AND JOY MIKLES
The cohosts of Heartbeat are a dynamic married couple, actively ministering to young people as part of their work at The Salvation Army, USA Southern Territory. Half the programs are voiced by Joy, the Young Adult and Mission Deployment Coordinator. The remaining programs are presented by Marty, the Music Evangelism and Worship Specialist. A singer/song writer, Marty composed and performs the Heartbeat theme music which really sets the tone for the program. In comforting, conversational style, both hosts engage listeners with plain talk about real life.
Heartbeat is a one-minute spot program for young adults, delivering Christian insights on life issues and experiences. The program’s title says it all. As the heart is the core of life, so the essence of life is God. Sixty all new programs are produced and released twice per year to 1,300 broadcasters and on the Internet.
