1. Name, role with production, title
Annie Bridges- Poorhouse girl, Gutter and the Slums
1a. What one thing do you want an audience member to walk away with after seeing the musical?
We are an Army founded on reaching the poor and hopeless.
2. How do you foresee the musical changing the landscape of what the next generation of Salvationists understands about The Salvation Army?
I think the musical will help people get back to their roots as Salvationists. Sometimes we feel like our world is so bad or corrupt, but when we see the society in which The Army was founded, we see that our worlds are not that different. It will remind us of our mission and of the people that we are called to serve. It will show that two people who have a heart for God and His people can make a lasting our world.
3. What did you learn while preparing your role and preforming in the musical?
The destitution and poverty of the people of the time. I never realized what a desperate situation many of them were in.
4. How has being involved in the production impacted your beliefs or your actions?
I feel encouraged to get back to where The Army started; loving God’s people.
