The Spirit of God is hovering over Charleston, West Virginia! This Sunday, we enrolled two Jr. Soldiers, RenAnna Drake and Baylee Sigman and two Sr. Soldiers April Sigman & Rosie Drake.
One of our newest Sr. Soldiers, April Sigman has been the Charleston Boys and Girls Club director for the past eight years. While I was here in Charleston, WV for my Christmas Assignment, April was a huge help with Kettles and volunteering wherever needed. It was as if April, her husband Charlie and daughter Baylee had been Salvationist forever; they embody who we are as: Radical followers of Christ who LOVE inclusively, serve helpfully, an disciple effectively right here in Charleston. They may not have worn the uniform but there are Salvationist at heart.
As I came back to Charleston, WV this past June in command of the Charleston Citadel Corps, I asked April to attend our Sunday Services and she and her family have been coming ever since. Her heart for Christ has led her to take up the BFI position here at Citadel. Sunday, September 27th she was enrolled and Monday September 28th is her first day in full blown ministry. The spirit of God is hovering here over Charleston and we are seeing God’s plan for salvation of souls coming to pass.
“I will certainly bless you, and I will multiply your descendants beyond number. Then Abraham waited patiently, and he received what God had promised.” Hebrews 6:14-15 We believe in the promises of God and are claiming those promises in the Name of Jesus Christ, our LORD! Hallelujah!
